I'm a big Tom Waits fan, and when I was asked to describe how his music sounded to a curious friend who was looking at listening to his stuff, I said 'Think "Moonlight, Murder and Roses spoon fed to you by a weird, angry and haunted man". I always liked this analogy so I used it here.

Also, I believe people may mistake one of the lead sounds as a theremin. It is, in fact a musical saw.
